FAQs

How is the damage repaired?
The damage is repaired using our unique tooling system and repair process. We grind out and refill the damaged area. We then follow a three stage paint finish - primer, base coat and lacquer is applied to bring the wheel back to an as new finish.

What if the rim is damaged?
If the rim is gouged or scraped we can usually rebuild the area. In cases of cracked rims these will need to be replaced. We can repair heavy and extensive damage.

Do you need to remove the tyres?
We will need to remove the wheels from the vehicle and the repair will then be completed in our custom built mobile workshop. The tyre will be deflated and the bead will be removed from the rim to allow the repair to be completed. The tyre will be inflated and torqued to the correct setting when replaced back on the vehicle.

Why should I not use a local body shop garage?
Alloy wheel repair is a very specialised skill and the tooling and training needed to complete is very expensive, that’s why most body shops and garages sub-contract the work to specialists like ourselves. By coming to us direct you cut out the margin that body shops and garages typically add on to the repair cost thus saving you money! Remember, we will always come to you as well saving you the time and cost of a visit to a body shop or garage!

How much does a repair service cost? Why are there no prices quoted on your website?
Every repair is different and as such it is difficult to give you a price without having an understanding of the damage and the time needed to repair. We always recommend that clients contact us to discuss the damage; we will need to know where the damage is located, the size of the wheel, what caused the damage and what finish is on the wheel. Once we can answer these questions we will be able to give you an estimate over the phone. If you wish to go ahead with the repair we will schedule a time to visit you and complete the work.

How long will the repair take?
It depends on the damage and the location of the damage, typically we will take less than 3 hours to complete most repairs although some larger damage can take longer. We will give you an estimate of the time to repair when we provide the costed estimate.

How can I pay for the repair?
We accept all major credit cards, cheques with a guarantee card and cash. We are VAT registered and will issue a VAT receipt for all work completed.

Is the work guaranteed or do you offer a warranty?
All our work is guaranteed for a period of twelve months from the date of the repair. Once the repair is complete and you are completely satisfied with the work, payment will be taken.

Do you need to be under cover or in a garage?
No is the honest answer, as we will arrive in a custom built mobile workshop. We will however need access to a power supply and a cup of tea is always appreciated!
